  • Collaborative and adaptable communicator

  • Experienced with predicting budget needs as well as maintaining and tracking them throughout the process

  • An understanding of art history and periods of design

  • Ability to visualize and realize a drawing/design into a 3D object

  • Fabrication skills: upholstery and sewing skills, wood and metal work, fibreglass, sculpting, casting, and painting

  • An understanding of how props are used on stage and ensuring that they are fit-for-purpose

  • Attention to detail

  • An ability to work well under pressure and to strict deadlines

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 and applications there-in, Google Drive and accompanying applications, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, Autodesk AutoCAD, Cricut Design Space, and Creality 3D Print.

  • Nineteen years of experience in a position of leadership (Props Manager, Assistant Props Manager, Technical Director, Master Carpenter, Scenic Design)

  • Working knowledge of all production departments

  • Ability to delegate tasks to a shop with regards to everyone's specialties and skill level
